Haha yes, rotaries like really thick oil but in winter it can be problematic as the oil gets even thicker, so I use a thinner one then...

Always yes... Mazda themselves mentioned that they do not recommend synthetic in any rotary.

Did the same thing with my Supra. Annnnnd it promptly spun a rod bearing. 7M’s, I was expecting it, just not so soon. My summer is shot.

No rod bearing to spin on my car, that’s the advantage I have :)

But yeah... 7M are the piston equivalent of rotaries... you know it will happen, you just don’t know when :)
